Presentation Topic: Venture Beyond the Obvious – Working as a Team in a Multigenerational Workforce
Roxie Loftesness will be here to present on multigenerational workforce. Below is a brief summary of her presentation.
The break table talk of today is as diverse as the melting pot that the workplace of 2016 has become. Multiple generations compose today’s workforce with ages ranging from 14 to over 100 yrs. old. Discussions of where to find the best daycare for the new baby are intermixed with what qualities does one look for in a retirement community for themselves or for aging parents. And yes, believe it or not, some may be looking for both at the same time.
We tend to identify generations by our chronological age resulting in stereotypes that are not the true personal traits of the individual. Success will come to the company that chooses to venture beyond the obvious attributes and stereotypes of generations and work to realize the benefits of the individual.
