Legislative updates, DOL services, and Manpower services
Join the us for an educational session with Julie Johnson, Ashley Glaspell, and Grace Norton.
Julie M. Johnson is an attorney licensed to practice law in South Dakota and registered lobbyist for SoDak SHRM at the SD Legislature. Previously she served as South Dakota Secretary of Labor, the Governor's Cabinet, and a few other positions in Pierre. In her practice, and her legislative work, she has done a lot of work in all things HR. She looks out for employment law, workforce development and recruitment, HR, and other issues of interest to the HR professionals in South Dakota.
Ashley Glaspell & Chris Kucker- Ashley is a manager of the DOL. She has been with the department for 7years. Chris is and Employment Specialist with the DOL and has been with the department for 8 years. Chris works with individuals with barriers to employment or who have been laid off from their jobs.
Grace Norton is the onsite recruiter for Manpower for Aberdeen and the surrounding area but does recruit for clients as far as Omaha and Lincoln NE. Manpower is a global leader in contingent and permanent recruitment and is the largest of their brands, providing flexible workforce solutions and rapid access to a highly qualified and productive pool of candidates.
Trainings are held from 11:00am-12:00pm, and the business meeting is held from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
