Presentation Topic: Multi Cultural Aspects of Today’s Workforce

As in late 19th century-early 20th century, the USA is seeing a significant change in demographics. An aging population, acceleration of Baby Boomer retirements, lower birth rates and an increasing level of immigrant and refugee populations that bring significantly different languages and cultures to the country and South Dakota have resulted in a changing, and more challenging, landscape for employers. Understanding those cultures, integrating them and creating a successfully functioning team is the newest challenge for our organizations. While there are many approaches, we will discuss what Molded Fiber Glass is doing-both successes and failures as we meld 28 different cultures into an effective team.
