Topic: Aberdeen Point of Dispensing (POD) Overview

A POD Plan is a mass prophylaxis plan. Aberdeen has been planning since 2005 for emergencies that could be responded to by establishing and operating a vaccination and/or medication distribution clinic. The Aberdeen Area Plan is to serve 50,000 people within 48 hours. Community involvement in the development and implementation of a POD is essential to ensure proper support for the citizens of the POD jurisdiction.
